Maternity session 1 pm, baby born at midnight.

Maternity Photography Session in North Vancouver

Whitney had to cancel her maternity session with her photographer in Kelowna, when she found out that she had to come to Vancouver to stay at the Ronald McDonald house. Her baby boy, Leo would need surgery as soon as he was born. Having a baby with a birth defect, would likely mean that she may go into labor early. As her and her partner waited, we booked a maternity session at 34 weeks gestation. Our session went flawlessly, and we got some amazing images. Whitney brought tons of great props, clothing and ideas. After our session, as Whitney was ready to leave she casually says… “I think my water just broke”….  After she changed into a new pair of pants… Her and Ryan headed to the hospital. It turns out, Whitney was in fact in labor… and baby Leo was born at 12:48 at 4.7lbs. I am looking forward to visiting them at the hospital, and taking a few photos of baby Leo once he recovers from his successful surgery. Thanks Whitney, Ryan and Leo!
